Yoga is learning to live in present moment 24 hours a day, so no matter what you are doing...whether it is making supper, washing dishes or working at your chosen vocation, if you are in present moment you are doing yoga!

Vinyasa Flow Classes:  This class utilizes the sun salutations and links the asana (pose) with vinyasas (basically a sun salutation).  It is a more challenging class and it is usually advisable to take a beginners class before you come to this class.  Monday 6:30 Pm and Wednesday at 7:00 PM

Gentle Vinyasa Flow:  This class is a gentler form of the vinyasa flow class.  We use a modified version of the sun salutations and move at a slower pace than the traditional vinyasa class.  The use of blocks, straps and blankets make the poses available to most.  Beginners will do well in this class.  Thursday 4:00 PM

 

Gentle Class:  This class does not use the sun salutations and thus can be an option for people who have limitations and cannot do full sun salutations.   We focus on using the asana and breath to open the energy of the body and build flexibility.  The use of blocks, straps, and blankets are used to make the poses accessible to most people.  This class is appropriate for beginners as well as the more seasoned yogi.  Tuesday AM 8:30-9:45

Chair Yoga:    This is be a good class for anyone who would love to get the benefits of yoga, but a regular or even gentle class is just too strenuous.  Or perhaps transitioning from being on the mat to standing, or balance is a problem.   We will do everything seated in a chair, or supported by the chair.    Wednesday 9:00-10:15 AM

Restorative Yoga: Fridays 8:30 AM  In this class we will practice gentle yoga poses with the support of Bolsters, Blankets, and Straps to allow the body to relax into the pose and receive a long deep stretch.  We will also use the therapy balls during this class to help relieve tension in the joints.   This class is appropriate for anyone, even if you have never done yoga.

 

Introduction to Yoga:    This class is offered in a six week session and is intended as an introduction into the breath and asana of yoga.   We will spend time learning how to breathe and then move into the practice of yoga, learning the asana in a slow and safe manner.   If you would like to sign up for this class, contact Dana at her email or at 320-266-5476.

PREPARING FOR THIS CLASS

All yoga classes have a strong emphasis on the breath.  Prior to class you should refrain from eating within 2 hours of the class,  

The studio does have mats, blocks, straps, blankets, and bolsters, but you can feel free to bring your own if you like.

All classes are $10 drop in rate, or $54.00 for a six week session one day a week, or $96 for a six week session two days a week.   With the session prices the classes must be used up within the six weeks.

Private Yoga sessions:  $45 a private class
